"Watch your thoughts, for they become words,
Watch your words, for they become action,
Watch your action, for it becomes habits,
Watch your habits, they become character,
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny, our destiny."

Så här presenteras Evelina Wahlqvist, TEDxUmeå.

What got you here, won't take you there. That's the subtle message of Evelina Wahlqvist, encouraging us to take charge and responsibility of our creativity. While creativity is being hyped as something particularly important for this very era in world history, Evelina reminds us that creativity is fundamental to life. We've always been creating. We are always creating. Whether we're aware of it or not. Hence, when we leave the question of whether we are creative or not behind, a new and more important question arises: How do we use our creativity? The past century has taught us many important lessons on the causes and consequences of the human capacity to create. Hopefully, this can become the century of conscious creativity. In this talk, Evelina guides us through three contemporary trends, forecasting how we will use our creativity in the future.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)."
